The Thorndike Theatre has been described as the jewel in Leatherhead's
crown. From its birth as The Leatherhead Theatre in the High Street in
1951, to this building opening in 1969, it was way ahead of its time in
realizing that a venue needs to place itself at the heart of its community;
to be a vital social centre and not just a place where plays happen.



Since 2001, The Leatherhead Theatre has been under the careful and caring
stewardship of the Leatherhead Revival Trust and has grown from strength to
strength.



This Season offers a particularly wide range of
shows including dance, drama, music, comedy, talks, musicals and opera. We
are also pleased to welcome some new productions to the theatre for the
